Horseshoe Bend in Page, Arizona at golden hour is nothing short of magical. Add in a gorgeous bride and groom and 60 of their closest family and friends bathed in the warm desert light and you have something like a dream. Sheri + James said their joyful, tearful “I dos” earlier this month canyon side and I had the honor of being there to capture it all.

In reflecting on the last year I took some time to note things that had given me life or drained me in the past. (It’s an effort in aiding in decision making for this “decision fatigued” gal right here. And the idea is all thanks to Emily P. Freeman and her “The Next Right Thing” podcast!) Something that undeniable breathed life in to my work and inspiration was the process of shooting creatively with film. What’s better than one Herlong Mansion wedding celebration? Two! Margot and Akshay had a love filled day starting off with a traditional Hindu ceremony and lunch before launching into a Christian celebration in ceremony number two. We capped it all off with a festive cocktail hour complete with a cocktail cart by Bar and Bubbles and dreamiest al fresco reception party .

It's been a minute since I've posted a wedding day preview (and I still have plans to go back and share so many beautiful days with you in due time) but this past weekend's wedding was a little near and dear to my heart. My sweet cousin married this gorgeous girl in the most perfect, intimate backyard lakeside ceremony surrounded by their very nearest and dearest! I carried my medium format film camera and a handful of film with me into my tour of Historic Harder Hall earlier this year and am in love with these treasures I captured of the gorgeous Pink Lady. I grew up across the lake from this beauty and marveled at her day in and day out for years. I was always especially curious about seeing the overgrown, arched promenade and garden off its ballroom. It. Did. Not. Disappoint. So magical and breathtaking. I cannot wait to see this place continue to come back to life!
